Blue Ridge Parkway...this is the one that is supposed to be on there...it still needs something. lol...sorry i am an idiot and put the wrong pic up. oopps.

I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to look at my photos and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have. If there is anything that I could do to make them better...please tell me. That's why I am here to learn. Thanks again!!

Not quite sure what you were trying to accomplish on this one......too bad the rail lost focus up close......would have been awesome with a sharp rail, and the trees behind blurred as they are......

@Susan: lmao!!! next time I should pay attention instead of hurryin...so don't laugh cause I am an idiot...here is the correct pic. lol...sorry. gosh i am so retarded.

i would agree with susan...generaly it is better to have foreground sharp.......in this case it is too much visible that it`s not DOF but postprocessing, you didn`t trick me :-)).
Well seriously.....if you doing blur by gaussian filter, first select place where filter should be applied and use the lowest blur you wish. than do new selection, smaller than previous and add again same blur..it will cause second..smaller part is blured twice....and it will end up ->you`ll get sharp part...fading to soft blur you did in first selection to more blured you did in second selectin. sure you can tune each step of blur as you like...and you can do more steps than only two. While making selection...use soft edges for selection, not sharp one......20 px or more..

Well, you know ... you said you were still workin' on it. That's all I meant. It's hard to see this little pic - so, I effectively have yet to see the finished product. Is this hole I'm digging deep enough yet?
